Hello from Love Field, the best-named airport in America. I came to Dallas to see the new button-up shirts Mike Nagel’s been bragging about and to catch an early stop on the Vampire Weekend “Only God Was Above Us” tour.

It was my first time seeing the band as a civilian. I watched from the pit, not quite riding the rail, but only a body or so back. My photos and videos from the show are underwhelming, so instead here’s one single pic of Nagel backstage, and then a bunch of snaps from my recent trip to LA. These were taken in parts of the city I’d never been before, including the Flower District, which is block and blocks and blocks and blocks of flowers absolutely going off! Color first, then some black and white stuff.
