On Tour: High Winds, I-40 West

The map kept saying the shortest path from Nashville to California on I-40 was dangerous with winds. It wanted to re-route me south, dipping into Mexico, or north through Colorado. I saw three semi trucks jackknifed and on their side in the grass medium. One looked like it had been there for a while. The second just wrecked, first responders arriving, no one directing traffic yet, rubbernecking galore. The third truck was burned to a crisp, still smoldering as I went by. I stayed the course, survived, and stopped for the night in Oklahoma City.
